That is a brand new fresh out of the sealed plastic bag K&N too, and if you ask me, it looks like crap. I remember this being a very large issue when I was into Honda S2000's which is why a bunch of us ran AFE air filters instead. AFE sadly informed me they don't make a filter fitting the dimensions required for this test.

Just to keep the record straight on the AMSOIL Filter.. The claims for the quality of filtration not only come from AMSOIL. The media used is a Patented media, that was designed for the ground equipment during Desert Storm, by Donaldson.

One of my customers actually works for the company that tested both the Air and Oil Filters. Our initial conversation started out basically with "The AMSOIL oil filter is not 15 Micron Absolute as they say"... I only got a little bit out of my mouth and he started... "It actually performs better than that.

As far as the Air Filter... Filtration and flow reports can be found at Donaldson.com

so its true then. The company who performed the AMSOIL air filter test is the same company that supplies them with their filters.

Subscribed. I'm interested to see the results of the vibrant, since this is the latest filter that I got from BR. I personally like the older style that did not require the MAF adapter plate.

Any idea on when these will be completed?

I work in the heavy industry business.... OEM manufacture of Trenching Equipment, and I can assure you Donaldson filters are the highest of quality, and filtering ability. If they live, which they do, in my industry, they can live on anything. Because of this, Im supporting Amsoil, and Im running it on my car regardless of the power results....

Cant wait for the test results!

Absolutely Denver...

Once Donaldson developed their Patented Nano-Fiber Technology, all others were left in the dust... Literally..

Donaldson partnered with AMSOIL several years ago after a "Trial" period where AMSOIL sold more 5.9 Cummins oil filters in 6 months than Donaldson did in their history.

Anyone that knows Heavy Equipment or Heavy Duty Trucks, knows that Donaldson is nothing short of Top of The Line.

You must also be using the AMSOIL EA Series oil Filter as well.

in a test that is supposed to be unbaised, that is whats called a conflict of interest! couple that with a vendor who is selling their products and you have, IMO, shady marketing

are you denying that the same company who's air filter test you quoted as being "what you would trust" is the same company who porduces that filter??

I would believe "Bob the oil guy's test" over another company who has a vested interest in how a particular manufacture's products performs.

The tests are performed by Third Party Testing companies....

Believe what you want.. I believe ASTM Tests... Why ? Because they are undeniable, can be reproduced and the human hand cannot be involved.
