I have a T/C at Shep for Stage 3 built.
I need to decide quickly if I want ACD or Viscous Coupling.
My Evo is IX GSR.
Original equiped with ACD and AYC.
At my last modification a bought a rear differential for RS Evo IX + stage 1 5MT Shep built transmission and now I am waiting Shep to send me the built Stage 3 T/C.
But I don't know what to do with the ACD. Quit or not ???
If I quit it will be my car be more accurate or absolute or driving?
Will it be stronger with Viscous Coupling?
What to do?
What is it better and why?
I hope that you can help me decide what to do.

 

Searching for VCU vs ACD I found out that the information is complicated.
They said that ACD is 3 times quicker than a simple VCU and more ressistable to problems.
But what is your opinion?
Will the ACD works fine now that we going to quit the AYC in the rear with the US RS diff?
Come on someone must know some things about it.
Am I the first one with Stage 3 T/C ???

 

AMS time attack VIII holds many lap battle records and it uses VCU...nuff said I think.

 

I'm running the stage 3 with the ACD, no issues here, car handles a lot better than before with the Quaife in the front. What did John recomend?

I know that Simon Norris used last year vcu instead of the ACD in his time attack evo but I am not sure about the AMS Time Attack Evo.Where did you see that information?

I send him today an email about "ACD or VCU stage 3 T/C" and I am waiting for an answer.
I am thinking that maybe VCU is better for Time Attack and Drag use.What could ACD do more than VCU?

I am wondering if VCU is better than ACD,why Mitsubishi does use ACD instead of VCU for Evo VII - X?
Also why Norris and AMS use VSU on their Time Attack Evo's instead of Mitsubishi's new system (ACD) ?

 

I too will be coughing up some $,$$$.$$'s for a Shep TC soon enough and would like to hear other's opinions.

I too have a 9 that is mainly used for drag racing and daily driving not so much for road racing etc.

I'm seriously considering the switch to a NON acd tc.........

 

I choose to switch from ACD to non ACD T/C. So I am searching for a non ACD T/C right now.
I have a ACD T/C to Shep and I want to trade it with a non ACD.
