Deactivating the AYC??

i know most of the Evos in the US dont have AYC but i thought i would give it a shot.

anyone know how to deactivate AYC?? so it does not have an effect when driving?

BTW its a 2006 JDM Evo IX.

there must be an easier way. i have heard of disconnecting the AYC ECU?

yes, by pulling the fuse/relay. buy why would you want to?

i dont like AYC, its very unpredicatble.

most track guys disable it.

how do i pull the fuse/relay?

By disabling the ayc pump, you will in effect be making it an open diff.

Try lancerregister.com, they may give you a bit more insight on what to do.

Thanks will have a read. currently i have the AYC pump disconnected (AYC harness from the pump).

i am not sure if this works though. will do some research. Thanks again.

I'm guessing you have a problem with it then???

disabling it will make it act like an open diff - which will really be

I'm sure 'track guys' would have replaced it with a rs diff or aftermarket LSD.
