defog/defrost question

defog/defrost question

i never used AC during the summer but i always defog/defrost when i needed to. correct me if im wrong but does the ac kicks in when i use the defog/defrost feature? if so, would it be possible to defog/defrost without ac?

The idea is to pull the moisture out of the air using the a/c. The stock a/c controls force the a/c on when you switch to defrost.

Its an automatic feature on the defrost setting.

does the rear window defroster use a/c too? i thought they used something different

I think those little lines in the rear window heat up or something like that?

The rear defroster button only heats up the coils in the rear glass. The defrost and defrost/feet vent settings enable the A/C but not fully like depressing the A/C button.

technically yes because the rear windows use heat coils lol.. but for front windows no
