I was told that they would be in sometime in Feb. I found a gently used one on here FS so I cancelled my order and just bought it instead.

Well, if you patient enough for it do it. I installed my intake along with my downpipe and I can definately feel a difference. I'm picking up a AEM Tru Boost next week and gonna install it and my AEM wideband and get it tuned.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it or not, but I have the induction box as well. This intake isn't nearly as loud as my old HKS intake. You can hear it, but it doesn't seem near as loud.

So buschur's not making the filters at all anymore? Wow. I wonder how the hks would have done. The perrin's kinda funny looking. Oh well.

I think these results dont really show anything. I think they would have been completly different is the tune was setup for each individual filter....

Way too much work I am sure, but the results would have been much more "interesting" - for lack of a better word.

I mean seriously, how does a old, rusty, dirty filter make more power than brand new filters.....shouldnt happen. Just shows how much an intake tune is needed...

I've had the same concern and I've already discuss it with S2Kra, and he agrees with me, he is using the Perrin now FYI.

Agreed
The old buschur filter is what the car was originaly tuned for so of course it should make more power. All filters should have been tuned seperatly.

Now do you understand why these comparisons are rarely done? Way too much work involved.

Guys,

This has been stated about 5x already, but if you set aside the buschur numbers (since my car was tuned for it) and look at the rest of the filters as 'even' since they were all untuned for, this test can be taken with that perspective with ease. Sure some tuning might level out the field a bit, but I'm not sure what else to say that hasn't been said already. I'm running the perrin now.
