Clutch problems still.... =[.. please help

I keep having the same problem whenever Im in the high rpms i have to either shift really slow and use a lot of strength or I shift fast and get locked out. The problem is that the clutch wont fully disengage and let me enter the next gear. The clutch pedal keeps getting stuck halfway. I tried bleeding the master cylinder today with no luck. So my question is...

Do i just replace the whole master cylinder? Could there be another problem that I have not thought about? I was thinking maybe the clutch itself could not take the torque but then wouldnt that cause the clutch to slip? I know I probably need some motor mounts and shifter bushings but really this is a clutch problem so I dont see that being too much of an issue.

Please help

Well, if the clutch isn't fully disengaging, check the slave cylinder out. make sure its working properly.

ok i just ordered a new slave cylinder and Im really hoping it fixes it.

if not what else would be causing this lock out to happen. I was thinking the clutch might be bad but I show no other signs. Why does the pedal get stuck halfway.

Is this the OE clutch? Or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what brand are we talking about?

a warped clutch disc could cause lock out issues...

So here is my problem in more detail.

My car shifts like butter in any gear below 5000 rpms. Anything above that and I start having issues.

1st to 2nd = goes into gear but takes a bit of time to disengage
2nd to 3rd = no problem
3rd to 4th = lock out for sure and a bad grind
havent tried 4th to 5th

Im not sure what clutch Im on but Ill have a look to see.

Also another problem Im having is I cannot adjust my pedal. Everytime i adjust it, the lock nut gets loose and I have to readjust it.

My suggestion is take the car to a mechanic (pref. someone that has worked on evo's) and have them take a look at it. No offense but you dont seem like an expert with this topic and I dont want to see you F something up b/c you "thought" it might correct the issue. Have somebody who knows what they are looking at go over everything first before its too late.

There is no shop in my town that I would want to work on my car. Each shop I have taken my car to ****s something up. Right now I have an oil leak coming from my oil casing because of one shop. And a CEL coming from another shop because they ripped out my boost solenoid wires.

Ive changed out my 02 housing and hotsides. intakes and exhausts. Im about to install my new turbo and cams soon. So Im atleast a little mechanically knowledgable.

My problem is that I just cant figure this problem out. I dont want to drop the tranny for no reason which is why I thought Id ask for some advice before I had to go that route.

I know there are some lock out issues with aftermarket brands like ACT but that doesnt explain the pedal getting stuck to the floor.

I have an ACT and had slight lockout issues and corrected them after a few clutch pedal adjustments.

Here is a link on how to adjust your clutch

http://evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tPa...23eeef2cbeafdc

now if your clutch is getting stuck to the floor you did not bleed the system properly. This is a 2 person job, you need somebody on the slave cylinder with a wrench to open and close the bleeder valve and someone on the cluch pedal to push it up and down. If you are not sure how to properly bleed the clutch im sure you can find something in the How-To section on the forum here. Good luck.

I bled the clutch properly. I have no problems with it sticking to the floor unless im high in the rpms. I think i found my problem tho. I only checked the slave for leaks and not the master. So I found some fluid leaking out the back of it.

Also for some reasonmy pedal adjustment is all the way to the back instead of to the top. I keep adjusting it tho but it only lasts about a few weeks and then the adjustment goes loose.

and i think im on the stock clutch or atleast stock flywheel. Heres the best pic i could get

yea that master cylinder looks a little damp, that could def be the problem. If ive removed my master before i would try to point you in the right direction on what to do but i have no experience with it, only bleeding and adjusting the clutch. Hopefully somebody else will chime in with a little more expertise
