so i went to the track tonite to see if i could hit some 11 second passes since i got the fp green and megan 02 housing, but i couldnt my trap speeds were lower than they were with my 8 turbo...with my 8 turbo on e85 on 30psi i ran a 12.2 at 116.8mph several times (stock 02 housing, stock ic, stock manifold)
my trap speeds with the green were ,109 and 110 111mph...i couldnt get it to any better.... and no i do not suck at driving..lol.... my 60fts were 1.7 - 1.8 (on 18s)
what can be causing this power loss...???
i recently got tuned on the green,megan 02 and xs engeering ic...
af ratio at wot are 11.6 no knock threw out the whole pull..... please help

clutch has about 7k miles on it...and it grabs hard *** hell...i was thinking maybe a boost leak...when i get on it i can hear a whistling sound...is the green supposed to make that sound

 

It depends on the whistle that you are talking about. If it sounds like normal turbo spool then you are fine. I would do a boost leak test just to make sure.

 

no this is different sound than the loud deep turbo spool....

If you were trapping 116.8mph with the stock turbo you should have been in the 11's already.

That is definitely a significant loss in trap speed. As everyone else stated, get a boost leak test. That can more than likely be the culprit.

 

but the thing about it is would it still hold boost like it does if it has a boost leak??

 

Damn! We sound alike with our set-ups old/new. I dont even know if a Boost leak can hurt THAT bad! Check the Turbo and make sure there is no shaft play and that the blades arent damaged.
