oil return line being a pita

this damn line will not stop leaking. I have changed the gasket out and even added a silicon oil gasket thing and nothing will stop this leak. Its not even a small leak, it is a big leak and I dont know how to fix it. Has anyone ran into this issue? What did you do to solve it?

I think they have a tendancy to leak because of oil seeping through the threads on the bolts. That's the only thing I can think of that would still leak after silicone gasket etc. I don't know how determined you are, but you can try using a small amount of silicone gasket maker on the actual bolts themselves (the threads).

ill give that a try. Its just so annoying having to get under the car, take the downpipe off and remove the oil line so many times

The washers that go on the bolts have orings in them. Check/repace yours with the proper hardware.

yup..benniboi08 is me. lol, ive had this problem going for over 2 years now! finally got it sealed for good thanks to a very helpful tech guy Dino also on evom. Even the OEM (1 metal gasket and 1 paper gasket) did not do the trick. It was the rtv that sealed the deal..let me know if you have anymore problems.

how did you drive with it like that for 2 years lol. Well I repalced the washers and added rtv to the bolts and a ****load of rtv to the top of the gasket. So Im crossing my fingers that this cures it. If not maybe Ill drive it to your house and have you fix it lol its seriously so frustrating.
