they didn't completely get rid of 63mm housing they just offer two choices now, people with the 63mm may encounter problems

What?? The term 20G stands for the compressor WHEEL and has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the housing, so once again it seems as if you're not well educated in the subject. Here is the model # for a stock IX turbo TD05HRA-16G6C-10.5T. Let's see if you can figure out for yourself now what stands for what before spouting misinformation (Psst, I gave you a hint for the compressor housing) .

SO, doesn't that rectify what I just said in terms of the Red now coming with the 80mm housing if you have the choice? Read, analyze, then post. Like I said, you sound like you try way too hard to just bash FP, and it's not working for you, since you're obviously ill-informed in this area. BTW the choice of housings is great, and was meant for the people over in Cali who wouldn't be caught dead running a turbo as blingy as the Tomei (not that it looks bad), due to their strict laws .

Hey shuttlebgoose & others,

We have had a mixed bag of results here in Australia with the Tomei, East Coast has some good numbers but the West Coast where I'm from has not been as fortunate. Just some results & feedback with the usual internet banter, here you go:

http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...howtopic=34376.

I know of one tuner/performance shop that rates another US turbo to be superior to the Tomei. I've posted this for comparisons sake for the potential new turbo buyer, as this tuner has tuned both turbs on a number of occassions.......not to cause decent among the troops.

Cheers Steve

That would be some great info to have. Save everybody on this thread joining the other forum do you reckon you could post some dyno's plots. where does it stand compared ix/green/red/GT30?

Cheers

where did you order yours? I talked to kamispeed and they have quite few coming in in 3-4 weeks, it's all depending on your source

Hey addo,

Here are some:

http://daniel.sitesuite.com.au/image...dynorunone.jpg ,

http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...e=post&id=2669 ,

http://i627.photobucket.com/albums/t...g?t=1242887570 ,

From the same car: http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...e=post&id=2766 , http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...e=post&id=2767 , http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...e=post&id=2928 ,

http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...e=post&id=2787,

As you can see there are Dyno Dynamics & some hub dyno's, so these can only be used as rough comparisons.

Most of the guy's have just the usual bolt on's eg:

1. 3in TBE with O2 housings,
2. 260 - 272 cams,
3. Turbo inlet pipes ie Samco,
4. Air intake,
5. Fuel pump & injectors,
6. Some with intercooler's,
7. Some with after market turbo manifolds, &
8. Electronic boost controller's.

those graphs aren't that accurate as the actuator wasn't set properly hurting spool alot.
latest graph is here, BOV was leaking at the time so couldn't run any higher boost here http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/in...e=post&id=3089

after bov was crushed boost went up by .5 bar so thats how bad it was leaking. turbo would have been running out of efficiency range

I have no doubts it will pull 270kw on a dyno dynamics now, it does 460hp in dataloglab. Should be good for low 11s, 195kw on this dyno dynamics got me a 12.5 1/4 mile on my first time at the track. Apparently the dyno is reading 10kw lower now also so it's more like 85kw atw difference.

Good one Burnzy seems like the crushed BOV has done the job for you mate. 270kw on a dyno dynamics, that's damn nice for a DD.
