I am running 30psi .028 plug gap, 93oct on a tubo about the size of a 35r.

No misfires at all with the non-cdi system. It works great!

The factory evo ignition system was severely overlooked by mitsu and it's evident as the 8-10whp gain was only at the 300whp level. This is clear evidence that it's insufficient even at these levels. We will be doing more testing in the future as time permits. The car tested was very mildly modded (stock cams) and at that level I would imagine increases be be bigger with the addition of aftermarket cams and more boost.

So to answer your question whenever your ready for atleast 8-10whp MORE hp. If you don't see ATLEAST these gains simply return it for FULL refund.

Thanks Indy....coming from someone with your background in the Racing Industry, I appreciate the kind words.

This would be a Great addition to your already quick stock Evo 9RS. With the goals you have set for 09' with this car this will be a great addition.

Are you willing to make this guarantee on a car that already has the HK$ ignition and 500whp?

I think we've talked about so many different systems let me clarify myself.

1. NON-CDI system makes a guaranteed 8-10whp over STOCK coils ($650)
2. Our Basic or Pro cdi based system(basic $999.90) (Pro version $1196.00) has made up to 40whp over the DLI on a fully built race car prior FP Red record holder 9.59@142.

Here is some interesting info on a non biased test as one can ask for. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/se...ned-27whp.html

It's pretty easy to make claims when you have a product that simply WORKS as advertised

You will also notice a difference in drivability. The added ignition energy seems to have a positive effect of turbo spool characteristics. We also noticed a considerable decrease in the idle misfire associated with most evos.

ummmm buy cheap buy twice..

I bought one of these units and trust me it money well spent.
I can gap the plugs bigger and have never had an issue.
and also your car will idle smoother and feel more responsive

I highly recomend it. for a difference of $500 it no brianer to go with COP ignition.
do it right the first time......

and besides Craig customer service is second to none, that is more than good enough reason to purchase SPARKTECH

my car does fine on the HKS DLI 2. It put down 556 on Buschur's mustang dyno.

hopefully it'll crack 600 on Buschur's mustang dyno here soon with the new parts I added

Thanks for all the input guys, I found a used buschar cop kit for 750. I just want to know if its the same as the spark tech. This is the only thing holding me back from making anymore power.

SparkTech, I've been interested in your Non- CDI Cop for quite some time. With the gains you got on the Evo-8 you tested, did you use colder plugs and a wider gap?

^Those gains were with NO changes. We wanted YOU the customer to be able to duplicate these increases. If we increased the gaps a little we could have squeezed a few more hp and it would have made more than 8-10whp.
