Dennis F....Good questions, let me explain

While I do agree with you that the stock coils can work and you may even be happy with their performance. It doesn't mean it's optimum. The 4 cops produce a more even distribution of spark energy and are roughly 8k volts stronger than stock coils

Having owned my own dyno for many years (dyno jet 248 1200hp) one thing I can say is the dyno doesn't lie. In our initial back to back testing our entry level non-cdi system outperformed the stock coils in back to back testing at CFT with an 8-10whp gain.

Sean...While I respect You...Your work and your accomplishments. I issue you the comparison challenge ANY day. I trust the testing will be transparent and fair with ALL conditions being constant. While I do realize you are a HKS Pro dealer and have a product line to represent. I also trust you will do what's rite for your customers.
IF we come out on top will you be making the switch on your personal car as well as recommending us for future applications?

Like I have quoted before Anibal Barbecue's Evo 9..former FP Red record holder reported a 40whp gain over the DLI. They called me on the Bat phone late one night after a dyno session elated over their finds. Even if we see a 20whp gain over the DLI we would be happy.

Please note our entry level non-cdi has already outperformed the DLI Hands Down (400+whp application) as stated by Mike@AWD. It would be very interesting to see how our Pro cdi system stacks up against the DLI on a Higher hp car

DLI failures...While I myself have never used the dli or can't attest or deny it's failure rate. I have looked at the chosen install location as the Worst possible location for an electronic part. Having it mounted to the motor mount next to the T-belt has got to contribute to premature failures. This motor mount transmits lots of harmonics and vibration and is also close to the exhaust manifold and turbo. Maybe Sean doesn't mount his customers units there and this has led to his success rate. At any rate let the testing begin

Hey Sean would you like me to send you a non-cdi for testing also?

With the Sparktech system, I have no trouble running a 0.028" gap at 30+ psi. The quality of the wiring, connectors, and mounting hardware is well beyond industry standard and really sets it apart.

LOL.

I will test it, please let's not get to adverserial over this.

I will test it back to back, and as always the results are the results.

I will let you know when I am going to test so that you can let me know exactly how you want it tested etc.

Please feel free to call me at the shop to discuss.

Sean I'll most definitely give you a call.

However I don't have any special requirements for testing just a simple back to back test.

For many of us who already have one of the aforementioned amplifier units, it would be nice to still be able to utilize them. Besides, if SparkTech unit is that much better, then who in the hell would we sell them to in order to recoup some of the cost of the SparkTech unit? No one would want to buy them.

We've gotten lots of pm's with your request and to fulfill our promise to leave NO stone unturned in the Ignition Arena this may be a reality sooner rather than later.
Stay tuned We are working on some Kool stuff. Maybe we'll even offer a Plug and Play cop utilizing the Dli.

lets see what happens...and since theya re all plug and play testing can be done while its still warm on the dyno...same day, same gas and very similar weather
