HKS 272
Advertised Duration 272 deg
Effective Duration 214 deg @ 1mm
Lift 10.8mm Int / 10.2mm Exh
Lobe Centerlines 110 deg Int / 110 deg Exh
LSA 110 deg

I usually recommend setting these cams to +1/-1 on the cam gears, which brings the LCs 108/108.

Or, for those that want strong midrange punch and don't mind a choppy idle, try +2/0, which brings the LCs to 106/110.

hi ted,

need some advise from ya if ya dont mind
im driving an evo 8 JDM 2003 with this mods,
1) CAI
2) 3" inch downpipe and 3" exhaust pipe all the way ( no muffler :P)
3) after market manifold
4) ACT street clutch and flywhee
5) reflashed Stock ECU. boosting at 1.3 bar/20psi ( stock turbo)
DD = 255 whp

I just installed HKS 272, HKS valve Springs, BC retainers, and HKS adj pulleys
all belts have been change as well

It is at -1,-1 now.
I wanna save dyno time thus what do u recommend my cam settings to?
im a daily driver and track the car once a while. i prefer a good midrange till the end but not to laggy at the bottom since ita a daily car too = traffic. choppy idle is ok but not dying of course

i have read some good results on
-3/-3
-4/-1 better for drag im assuming

but ure suggesting +2/0, wouldnt this be strong at the bottom but dies off at the end of the rev ?

what do u think my sifu? hehe

thanks in advance bro

Try 0/-1. If you're fine with that, go to 0/-2.
