Intake mani cleaner

hey looking to find something to get all that carbon build up off the inside of the intake manifold. Has anyone used or know or anything that's good enough to spray into the manifold with it off the car that can get that gunk out? Thanks

why dont you take it off and spray that puppy out with brake clean that should get any residue out of the manifold good luck man. why is the intake manifold dirty it should be pretty clean inside from all my experience unless maybe the turbo has a oil leak or is it dirty because of the recirculating blow off valve? any way good luck cleaning your manifold the break clean should make her nice and shiny for you

The manifolds get dirty from the EGR valves that recirculate exhaust gasses back into the intake manifold.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
I have used a BG cleaner (looks like and IV bag) in the past and there is also SeaFoam (easier to get - any autoparts store). You can run it though the intake via a vac line - does the same thing as the BG product. It will clear off the carbon build up.

WARNING: do this in the driveway and let it all blow through. It will make your car become a fog machine. I also like to do it before I change my oil. The SeaFoam is oil safe, but I have made it a ever 20k oil change thing.

better plug the ports for the ISC motor, after the throttle plate, or you'll damage the ISC motor

This is what I use. Sensor safe especially for the ISC motor. BG ISC® Induction System Cleaner™ http://www.bgprod.com/products/fuelair.html
