Boost cut-off
I'm currently buying an Evo6 TME. My ownly concern is that when i drove it there was an early rev limit..... The seller told me that it was a problem w/ the boost cut off and that it could be fixed easily. Might it be something more severe, because when i drove it it seemed kind of an abrubt motion. also, what would be the ebst exhaust setup for this car?

What it most probably was is that the engine had a fuel cut. That normally happens only when the boost is increased over the standard (0.8 bar) to around 1.2 - 1.3 bars.
Indeed, the ECU is programmed to cut off the fuel when the AFM (Karman Vortech type) reaches 1700 Hz at a certain temperature and barometric pressure. This generally equates to 1.2 - 1.3 bars at 20 °C outside temperature.
Possible cures:
- rusty wastegate actuator: change it
- lower the boost
- change the ECU
- fit an AF controller like an A'PEXi S-AFC (to lower the value, but then you need to increase fuel presuure ie fit uprated pump and pressure regulator)
They say that these fuel cuts can eventually bend conrods, so watch it!
