I had a Apex N-1 on my ITR. The quality was very good. I bought the HKS because it simply looked like the N-1. I got the Carbon-Ti though so I went a little further to try to be different.

quick question... im lookin to buy an exhaust wit really loud low bass sound but i dont want it to sound rice. i have a friend wit a 97 integra gs-r and he put a skunk 2 catback on his car, and inside the car it sounds great, but outside it sounds incredibly ricy and i dont want that to happen with the exhaust that i get. so far the exhaust that appeals to me most is the hks 30th anniversary catback, which i think im going to settle with...

my question is is there ne other exhaust that i should consider if im lookin into somethin wit that great deep bass but sounds smooth, not like incredibly loud farts comin outta the car, and otherwise does it really matter that everything else is stock right now and i dont have a boost controller or anything yet? i talked to a guy from boostsolutions and he said that if i just get the catback i shouldnt need to have ne tuning or nething but if i were to get the downpipe, etc. then i would need to tune it. is this accurate? i feel that i can trust boostsolutions with an issue like that... anyway, im finished rambling, and any input would be great!

As of right now, I have a HKS carbon-ti, HKS downpipe, and HKS racing sution intake with any tunning at all. The car runs fine and it has been on the dyno with the a/f reading pretty mcuh normal or safe as some would put it.

A cat back on a N/A Honda is gonns sound completely different form a turbo car. I think almost every cat back almost sounds the same on the Evo's once you get to full boost. They might sound a bit different before though. It just depends on what kind of look your going for. If you want it to look kinda stock, I suggest the B&B or the Thermal. I have a buddy with the Thermal and it sounds nice. If you want the non stock look then get any cat back with a angle like HKS, Apexi, Tanabe, Greddy, or JIC.

No problem. It probably will sound pretty much like a HKS with the same style straight through muffler they both have. Once you get into full boost though it just sounds like a bunch of air coming out the rear of the car. Well at least on mine it does.

Anyone have a soundclip of the Apex'i N1? It's a toss-up between that and the Espelir.

Too many choices.
I looked at all the exhausts in all the pages in this forum.
I have narrowed it down to:
HKS Anniversary Cat-Back
AMS Stainless Cat-Back
Espelir JGT500 Catback

I don't want a very loud exhaust that will get me ticketed by cops. Some noise is ok for me. This will be on a stock cat by the way.

Will I need a ecu tune-up if I were to get a cat back or would it be ok if I were to leave the ecu stock?

you won't need any tuning with just a catback

Power, price, weight and material quality. We can't be beat guys. The thread has gotten so long I just wanted to put a quick post in it again to let you know to check us out before buying any other exhaust.

There is a huge exhaust shootout coming out in TPP Magazine in the next month or so. I think there were 25 systems tested, after reading it you will be glad you chose us for your exhaust needs.
