Hey Gonzo,

I have not had any issues with the exhaust. Ive put on just over 1000 miles since i got the system and have been extremely happy with the whole setup. Installing the exhaust was very easy! The only hard part was installing the new downpipe. The bolt holes are kind of hard to see under the motor and there is very little room to work in. The job was made quite a bit easier though once we removed the under-body front water guards. Other then that everything fit where it was supposed too and went together easiely! I highly reccomend buying this product! You can get more information from:

http://www.perrinperformance.com

If you do order the exhuast I reccomend calling Matrix Engineering because they give a 10% discount to all members of the EvolutionM site. They can be contacted at:

Sure! I made a video of the whole thing. You can view it at:

If you want better pics I can put those up as well.

Here are the actual Dyno pics:

Ive also just recently installed the Perrin manual boost controller along with a Forge BOV. I havent been too happy with the BOV yet, and yes its a recirc, but I havent been able to adjust it much yet either. Anyway the gains from the Boost controller really help realize the potential gains from a larger exhaust and down pipe. I went from 238 to 278. Thats some big gains for low cost. Anyway the dyno for that run can be seen here:

Is there 2 B&B exhausts? I see in the pic of the red evo the canister seems very small. However the specs say 4 inch. if there is 2 can someone upload a pic of the 4 inch canister.

After reading all 23 pages of this thread, I think I've narrowed my exhaust choices down to 3 (all are turbo-back with hi-flow cats): Buschur Racing w/Magnaflow, B&B, and Perrin.

My first criteria is sound level @idle/cruising (the quieter the better) and second is HP potential. After listening to the various sound clips, I'd have to say the Perrin is the quietest followed closely by B&B and then the Buschur unit. Horse power looks to be Buchur with the most, then Perrin, then B&B.

Anyone with real-world exposure to these exhausts care to rank them by loudness & power?

I think I have it down to B&B or the HKS Hi-power, the only thing left is weight, which is heavier?

Hi guys,

There has been a ton of talk about the Helix exhaust system, I know I am a vendor but I would like to supply some hard facts, take them for what they are worth.

I am going to start an actual topic on this elsewhere, here you will find just facts.

Helix 3" catback.

Weighed in at 25.9 pounds
Highly polished, nice looking piece.
JDM style exit was touching customers fascia, did this on two cars.
Full 3" tubing, straight through, no resonators.
System was as loud as our Buschur Racing muffled systems.
Cost was $449 in a group buy.

Our system is comletely built from 304 SS, is not polished. Our catback is 16.5 pounds (savings of almost 10 pounds). Cost is the same, with the exception ours is on sale right now for $395 through Evo Connection. Ours does not hit the fascia.

Something to think about.

Hi david, I have an dumb question but what is the differance between your 3" SS cat back and the scca legal 3" catback?

do you need a test pipe for the regular 3" ss?

thanks for any info
