Transfer Case Advice...

Hey guys, I'm changing my clutch on my 05 Evo GSR and the guys working on it mentioned that my transfer case needed ATF SP3 or something.
I really don't know. But what type of fluid is that? I know it's automatic tranny fluid, but is the info accurate as far as that being what I need to put in the transfer case? Also, why do I need to put that, there's a reason they said, I just forgot what it was. Something about differential control. Also can I buy it at any autoparts store, or does it have to be at Mitsu?
HELP!!!

The ATF 3 is for the ACD fluid (reservoir under the hood behind driver side headlight). I cant remember what fluid goes in the transfer case itself. Maybe Mitsu Diaqueen or equivalent. A simple search should answer your questions.

that's one of the few things that u better off just buying from the dealer, no shipping and you are guarantee to be buying the right stuff, just go to the Mitsu dealer to get those maintenance fluids for your car.

You need to use Diaqueen LSD gear oil in your TC and rear diff. It's about $40 a gallon. holds .58 quarts.
