Head torque pattern order???

Is there a specific patter for torquing the head or just the regular crossed procedure?

Thanks for the info. I need to re torque them cause I got 110 130 115 120 reading on the cylinders and it is a brand new motor. I have been told that the normal numbers for compression should be around 220psi. with 8.5 - 1 pistons. Right?

Compression numbers for a IX are not supposed to be around 220 psi, that would be a real high comression engine. Stock should be 145 psi with no more than 14psi difference between cylinders. The low limit is like 92 psi if they are even which seems ridiculous.

So, the compression numbers I get are normal, even for a new 2.3L motor? The pistons I have are 8.9 to 1.
Thanks for the info

110 is low in my opinion. Most of the IX's that we've tested are 135-150. Maybe your rings havent fully seated. How many miles are on the motor? When you compression tested were you WOT? Testing 1 cylinder at a time right (other 3 plugs should be in). Cold or Warm?
