I will post up a dyno sheet next week of the final run I made with the car. Normally on a customers car what I tune it at is where I leave it. I am usually asked to run it as high as I safely can. 30 psi is my "standard" on pump gas and if I can get there safely then it's left just like the last dyno pull. In this case I wanted to run it higher to experiment and see what it would make. I had no desire to run the car at 32 psi all the time on pump gas.

I'm saying this so the numbers don't deceive anyone. On E85 if you remember the boost was a bit lower. Most guys making huge gains between pump gas and E85 are also gaining a bunch of boost. In my case I think I actually went higher on boost on the pump gas tuning than I did the E85. So the difference was the afr's and timing.

I think I said this already but I plan to put it back on E85 and this time actually try to make some power with the car. I want to see what it will run on a set of good tires.

Sick. Can't wait for those times. Will it be going down the 1/4 on pump, or E85?

I'm going to take it back to the track on E85 because I want to lean on it a little bit more. More boost than before etc. This power level on slicks could, if all the stars are aligned, run a pretty low 10 second pass. That would make me happy..........for a few weeks, days, OK..hours! haha

Good luck on hitting low 10's...with all the STOCK Block cars doing it now..you shouldn't have a problem

Going 10's on a stock block isn't an accomplishment, it's a gamble. This is also on the stock ECU. Quickest time on a stock ECU that I know of to date is 10.30's on a "35r" type turbo. Mellon and Fathouse. This car is just on a red.

The shortblock in a car adds very little power to a combination. What it does add is a reliability and safety factor. You build the shortblock to handle the power to avoid buying a new $700 crankshaft and a new $1800 block.

For reference you can refer to guys I respect like STM, who went 10.0 on his stock block and then cost himself big money for a new block/crank when the stock one came apart.

Let me explain it to you, I know you aren't a racer or car builder. The shortblock in a car adds very little power to a combination. What it does add is a reliability and safety factor. You build the shortblock to handle the power to avoid buying a new $700 crankshaft and a new $1800 block.

Now you know, you are welcome.

It's OK, stick with wiring, I'll stick to building the entire car the right way.
TTP's Ryuturbo runs 10.3 @ 133 on stock ECU, MAF and EvoRed, stock block and head with cams and springs. No E85. No leaded fuel. It has not run faster because it slips the new EXEDY HD twin with 550tq.

TTP, I didn't leave him out intentionally, I wan't attempting to build a complete list. Keep running the car at that level and the bottom end will blow a rod out of the block, that is my point. Emery is a perfect example of running very fast for a long time but it caught up with him. I have list as long as my arm of others. BTW, next time you make an example in one of my thread please don't leave out important information. While Ryu's car is certainly impressive and not running leaded fuel or E85 I knew I remembered it running alky injection so I cut and pasted his time here for you, incase you also "forgot" to mention it.

3. Ryu / 4/9/09 / TTP Engineering / Evo 9 / FP RED, 93oct+meth / 6.679 / 10.301ET

I'd swear it's winter time around here with all the pissing matches going on! haha

not that i want to get in the middle of this one i beleave STM's ending was due to a miss shift and massively over revving the motor. stm said it could still be running today if it wasent for that miss shift.
