Problemm after clutch install..help

Ok i bought a new act clutch and flywheel and had my buddys dad shop install it for me. I get the car back and it was driving fine then i park it go to school come back and the car doesnt start.. i just hear one click then a lil whine. At first i thought battery was dead so i jumped it, but nothin. I ended up towing the car back to his shop and they got it running again n said it was something with the flywheel that its overheating and the teeth are spreading apart?? So ok i get it back next day drive to the store and once again wont start, but this time im towin it back to my house and will probably take it to another shop... Is there anyhting that could be wrongg?/ Is it really the flywheel? Help me out thansk

the starter is not engaging to the ring gear on the flywheel. take the starter off and shine a light into the bell housing to see if you can tell whats causing that. More than likely you will need to take the tranny out again to fix it

so would that mean that it was a bad install or can it really be a problem with the flywheel??

It sounds more like a bad starter to me. Starters most often act up when hot. The first thing I would do is pull the starter and have it checked out at an automotive electrical shop.

yeah it sounds like the starter, if you have a lift, you can probably check to see if any wires are corroded or disconnected. If not then starter probably just went. And I would do it myself if i was you since its not really that hard
