Fluctuating BOOST

i dont know if it is just me or i really never noticed it before, but i started to notice last week that my boost is acting strange. At WOT boost creeps up to 21 and than drops to 16 up to redline. But during this period up to redline the boost fluctuates sometimes from 14 all the way back up to 19 and then back down to 16/15.

Has anyone had this problem, or is this me bugging.

Also, I would like to point out that today i heard my STOCK BOV flutter under VERY light load in 5th gear lifting off the gas at 2psi. I thought that was odd.

Also, my mods are 3"TB with test pipe, buschur intake, and WORKS 93 exhale flash.

Stock BOV is pretty much maxed out from the factory. Replace the stock BOV with one off a 1G or maybe a Forge recirc like the one on this forum's project evo. My 2 cents.

STOCK BOV will HOLD GOOD for 19 PSI beleive me not worth going aftermarket BOV. What u need is a BOOST CONTROLLER to make you hold boost at 19 psi all the way to red. Because of the 3 turboback exhaust ur BOOST has went up to 21 so u defintaly need soemthing to lower it and hold it steady.

This is why i got my BOOST controller first instead of 3 turboback,
because of the boost creep people are getting.

Please stop spreading this FALSE BS. People run this car with 22 pounds and it has no problems, I think David even said the same thing. Please stop having people do a BOV and make the car run like ****. Hell you don't even have a evo....

Some people are having problems, others aren't. I don't see why that's BS.

The last thing we need is another flamefest though.

Because the stock one works fine, 1 car out of 5,000 having the problem? take it to and let them fix it. The stock BOV can hold the boost fine and when you go screwing around with a different BOV it will start to cause problems most of the time. Why do most of the good EVO tuners not sell a BOV? Because it's a BS mod people are running low 12's with the stock one. I bet something else is wrong with the car and it's not the BOV.

I think the problem is EVERYONE always ASSUME anything stock is basically CRAP. But honestly I think for the BOV part people are overreacting to the LEAK issue. Under 20 PSI I really think the Valve works pretty good.

How does a boost controller help with boost creep? Isn't boost creep defined as when the wastegate gets "saturated" or can't flow as much as its asked for?

Boost controller will HOLD your boost where you set to, like if u set it to 19 then it wont go up to 21. Thats if you set it up corrrectly though.
