I went to get my oil changed and whatknot at the dealer today, so I was standing there waiting for it to be done, and I asked the guy, have the people with the evos come in with any bad problems, he said one guy came in with a GONE trans, gone meaning?? get this, he didnt use the clutch, I was shocked this guy must of had more money or no brains, or money and no brains, I just thought I would share that with you folks.

isn't it okay to not use clutch as long as you can perfectly match the revs???

5038 miles and my transmission is perfect, clutch is perfect, car is perfect. Take care of it and it will last, continously roll it off the rev limiter and jam it into gear at speed and anything will break, including the also bullet proof STi tranny. Or in the case of the STi leisurely drive it down the street and detonate. No offense intended just love how Subaru owners on these boards are always so quick to search for the negatives.

Transmission problem??? What transmission problem? Oh...wait I only have 8000 miles on my EVO, so I hope I won't be having transmission problem down thne road. I have a dirty car problem. Whenever I drive my car for too long without washing it, it gets dirty. I should have bought the STI, I bet it doesn't have a dirty car problem.

he probably thought the clutch was just another way to engage the e-brake like a benz or camry or something haha.

I have 7 dragstrip runs, 4 hard auto-x starts (2 not so hard auto-x starts), about 3-4 hard starts on the streets, and about 250 track miles on my car..... and not a problem with any of it....

I did have that stupid intake vacumn hose fall off in traffic and the car died... i cleaned it and really tightened it... no problems now...

and my drivers side door still rattles....
