Throw-out Bearing issues
Had since the car was new
Enough people complain they will recall it. Usually takes someone to get hurt. So much for the best backed cars in the world. I get sick to my stomach when I see that on TV.

Consider yourself lucky. With the stock clutch, it's usually quiet when cold and then gets loud when the car warms up.
Cabo
Its completely normal. Ask the guys in the DSM community, they have dealt with it for years.
Mine started doing it around 5k also and I drove on it for 30k miles like that untile I changed my clutch and TO bearing. About 5k later and its back, no biggie. Its just the design and when it starts to loosen up with a little wear you can hear it.
If you notice it goes away when the clutch is enguaged. The best place to notice the noise is in the drive thru. You can hear it echo of the wall.

It truely is just part of a sports car, I used to have a porsche 944 turbo, it wasnt even all-wheel-drive, but that clutch chattered like there was no tomorrow!! My evo makes that same noise, its completely normal, no worries fellas! You can't expect perfection for $30,000 or even for twice that. So everyone relax, go have a beer stop worrying about every sound you hear and just enjoy your car.

My understanding is that you hear it more with the AC on or when the fans kick on, because there is more load on the engine.
My noise quit when I change the tranny fluid out @ 15K with Royal Purple. I noticed this weekend that the noises are back. 20,850 miles.

just started having this problem. im at 11,500 or so miles right now and i just had my 264/264 cams installed. i thought it was my downpipe (helix version 1) because it seems to be rubbing against the subframe. anyone else think this is whats causing the noise?
BTW the noise is amplified with cams as stated earlier. 272s here.
