Oil pressure question....mounting

where did you mount your oil pressure sending? I bought AMS extension, and my line is facing up and reading is off. Any pics would be great.

also have the ams line and have it up and then to behind the fender shield with sender attached

from when my old sender with 42 draft adapter to now, my readings seems the same
just takes a few secs longer for sender to get reading cause the oil has further to travel than before where sender was closer to oil filter housings

my sending is mounted next to ABS, (since i dont have abs but thats the location) and line goes down next to oil filter, my reading is at 0 unless i go around the block it goes up to 25 and stays even if I rev it, maybe my sending unit is way to high and oil is not reaching the unit, or Sending unit is bad. (most people are mounting unit next to oil, which is bad because of vibration) it shorten your sending unit life. I will find out today and keep you guys posted.

sender sounds bad
did u ensure teflon tape was placed on threads and none in oil path?
i took an hour to do mine to ensure i did it right first time
not a job i wanna do anytime again

mine works perfect *knocks wood*

my old sender died because it got water inside and failed it, well thats my post mortem on it cause water should not have been in there
