Eclipse and Evo Engine Parts compatibility

Ok, I'm a newbie with mitsu engine parts. Since both eclipse and the Evo has the same 4g63t engine, what parts are interchangeable? HKS 262 cams for the eclipse the same part number for the EVO? Cam gears? Timing belt? Throttle body? ETC.

Not all Eclipses had the fortune of having the bullet proof 4G63 turbo engine. Although the engine code is the same, the Evo 4G63 is different in many ways compared to the 4G63s found in the Eclipse GSTs, GSXs, and Galant VR4s.

NO, only parts which are interchangeable are manifold, possibly intake turbo... however I don't know why you'd want those parts on it...

All Galant VR4's use a 6 bolt large rod motors. So do all 90-92.5 DSM's. You have different cams and slightly more compression 7.8:1 vs 8.8:1.

The 93+ model year DSM's have the smaller rod 7 bolt crank shaft motor that is crankwalk prone. If im not mistakes i remember something out if the proven camp. Suggesting that the stock EVO VIII rods are a tad thin. Again im not 100% sure in that Al or Dave would know better.

The engine rotates backwards and the cam gears are on the wrong side. Maybe they'll cancel each other out!

cams are not the same, exhaust manfolds are not compatible.

pistons are different
