Wastegate Question.

Ok, so I have seen a 22 Psi wastegate on sale, and advertised. Does any one know the amount for the stock unit on my 2004 EVO 8 GSR? My Cobb Stage II tune, utilizes the hire boost pressure. Instead of utilizing the boost pill that Cobb made me, is this a better route? Will it do the job or am I missing something else?

Thanks in advance.

Bueller... Bueller...

Anyone? Are the stock units 1.5 bar? Is this a waste?

Why would you want to change out the stock WGA, anyway? Is there a reason that you are considering doung this? Probably the stock unit us just fine if setup right. It should do the job just fine for moderate boost levels under 25 PSI.

Someone had told me that the stock wastegate is only good to 20 psi max. DIdn't know if upgrading the wastegate was the better route then the boost pill?

Thanks you.

So the boost pill does it's job to hold it higher than 20psi, or is there something else I need to do. I thought one mod was to rig the spring, or change the spring out to hold more, another was the boost pill. Here I thought the wastegate in question that is stated to hold 22 psi, had an upgraded spring to hold the higher boost? What am I missing?
