David is absolutely right - I've received a lot of opinions recently, half of them telling me I'm stupid for buying an Evo to drag race - others very encouraging.

Another element to his point that didn't get covered - where I live, road racing and auto crossing are not popular activities. The options are very limited, and to be honest - I don't care about driving around cones at 30 - 40mph. I know the Evo is great at it, but it doesn’t float my boat. I have always been a drag race fan.

I know the Evo is a well-built machine; it holds up better than my old 11-second mustang to mods, and drives very well on the street with aggressive cams and twin disc clutch.

Big thanks to Martin at AMS for locating 2 very well priced low mileage Diff's this morning! Though I ended up going with a local one that i got in this morning - He was very helpful in calling around scouting parts for me on his own dime. Very much appreciated guys!
