clutch gets stuck..
clutch gets stuck..
i was driving back from houston today and when i shifted the clutch got stuck on the floor while driving..i lifted it up with my foot and continued to work. it did that throught the whole trip when i had to shift..finally i was 10 mins from home and the clutch got stuck again. picked it up with my foot, pressed it down again and it got stuck again.it just keeps getting stuck down to the floor. i couldnt shift. i checked the brake/clutch fluid and it seemed to be ok..and i saw no leaks by the pedal or anything. any idea what it could be? probaly the brake master cylinder? any help would be appreciated
Well i replaced my wedge clip last monday. My problem was when i pushed the clutch it stuck to the floor, but when i pulled it back up it was stuck couldnt push it or anything. Is your pedal moving free? Is there pressure to it at all or does it just fall back to the floor?
when i push it down it gets stuck down there. i pull it back up with my foot or hand and comes to place(lower than what it used to be)..and it just repeats. it wont come back by itself..not sure if theres any pressure.
Sounds like either the master or slave cylinder is failing and leaking. The fluids may be OK but have you tried bleeding the clutch? There might be air in the system that's causing this.

Probably a slave cylinder. I have first hand experience with my dad's Eclipse. Same symptoms. Tried bleeding the clutch and it didn't help. Replaced the slave cylinder, got braid lines and bled the system, problem solved.
EDIT: Just saw how old this was
