Import Junkie, that is some serious rust in those pipes. That definitely looks like an all metal pipe to me. When I ran distilled water with my Aquamist through my metal UICP on my Talon, my pipes did not look like yours at all. All I had was a very light rust residue that I could rub off with my finger. Since you say that you never really activated your water injection system, did you ever check your water tank to see if your water was being used up?

Crap, I didn't even think of meth injection. I think I got the black mild steel UICP to install (sitting in the box still). I currently have a SS from BR but the new pipe is flanged for a different BOV (that I already have) and for a Magnus intake, so I have to use it. I really hope I didn't screw myself on this one.

I hope you get things handled, OP. ETS is a great company and will likely rectify issues that might be theirs (in my case, it is my fault).

I never kept a close eye on it but I knew what I had in their and I never saw any significant change in water level but then again it's only dripping through two 1mm jets and I'm sure it didn't constantly drip......or maybe it did. Either way I just glad I pulled everything off the car before I ended up with a real problem.

I don't know what the cause is but I've seen this on other turbo cars. The piping coming off the IC is a high corrosion area. If the piping is aluminum it will eventually have holes in it. So, I'm not surprised at seeing your photograph.

Well I'm still gonna call ETS which I'm assuming will get me nowhere but it's worth a shot. Just got the O.K. from the wife to order Buschur Pipes.

I've been reading up on "Dripping" problems in the Meth section which if I recall points to the HSV or High Speed Valve. Either way I'm not putting these pipes back on. I'm thinking about ordering some Buschur UICPs. They're made of stainless and are flanged for the stock BOV so it seems like my best bet.
why not give up the heavy metal uicp and just go aluminum. same thing but much lighter and wont give you any problems. sometimes the cheap way out is not always the best. good thing you cought this before it got worse and possibly damaged your motor

If he does plan to run meth eventually, I would say to stay away from the Al pipe, especially since the system may be leaky. The meth's corrosion of the aluminum might be slow, but over time it will add up and cause similar issues.

I have been running 100% meth using a gallon a week for over a year and a half with two large jets with the injen upper and lower pipping. I pulled it off to check my egr hoses and looked inside... It was clean as a whistle and looked brand new to me. No corrosion or rust. I love methanol. It helps keep your motor clean...
Just change your oil at regual intervals and don't spray water.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I also don't want to drill and tap an UICP with a thin Aluminum wall either. Not sure yet what I'm going to do.

The injen piping I'm using is aluminum. I can take some pictures if you want. I have had no problems with my 2 jets in my upper pipe.

I believe you 100%. I would just feel better tapping into something a little stronger that's all. I know there are a lot of guys running meth with aluminum pipes.

Sorry I just wanted to make sure people were not getting scared away from meth for no reason. Meth was not even used and people started saying its corrosive ect. Sorry for the rant.

I love the look of ss pipes myself and they are stronger which is good.

Your not alone...

ETS Short Route UICP

I wire wheeled the whole thing down, treated the whole thing with acid and then powder coated it black and sold it.

Then bought the PPI aluminum UICP.
