Wow!!! All I have to say is BuschurRacing is great! I just got a pm from Jrod@Buschur about this thread. He offered me a discount price to help me out of this mess. I don't think I can advertise the price but let me tell you, it was more than I'd ever expect. Funny thing is I already ordered the part at the normal advertised price but then gave a call to Ohio and Jrod reprocessed my order immediately. Thanks again Jrod!!

Nice Edit..

We have tested both the Garrett and our intercooler and the AIT's are the same on both units.

You will also notice AL did remove the false testing done on the ETS intercooler, if you remember correctly... I'm sure you do. The brand X intercooler vs the Buschur intercooler were both Garrett core intercoolers. The brand X was 4.5" garrett core, the same as the Buschur BFIC and the Buschur was a 4.0" Garrett Intercooler.

Al said the Temps were higher on the 4.5" garrett then the 4.0" garrett... but why do you sell the 4.5" garrett now? It's funny that intercooler was released shortly after the video....

Methanol does not cause metal to rust. Stop spreading misinformation.

I dont know why you say "Nice edit". I was reading through the thread after I replied and copied that in there. I dont see the big deal with my edit.

I wasnt even bringing up the video. I could careless about it. If you want to me to be totally honest..... Ive seen your cores "perform" in person (not even talking about here) at another vendor's facility which I attended for a dyno day. It resulted in 3 cars removing your cores and going with our Race FMIC's.

Its quite amusing how you think we offer the 4.5" core because of you or your product. How many high HP, 8/9 second Evo's are ETS powered? One? That ONE didnt even run your FMIC. It was a custom water to air intercooler. We RUN what we SELL.

We OFFER the 4.5" core as an option because people asked for bigger. In all honesty our Race FMIC outsells it probably 10 to 1.

All of the 8/9second, 500+whp straight pump gas/600+whp race gas cars run our 4" RACE FMIC. NOT the 4.5" BFIC. The list of cars can be seen here:
http://buschurforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22872

It includes David's RS, Buschur Racing 8sec drag car, AWD Motorsports 8 sec drag car, AWD Motorsports 8sec street Evo, Most Wanted's 9.0 drag car, OKIX Evo Low 9 second Evo 9, etc.... There are a handful more in the LOW 10's on the verge of going 9's, a couple on that list are on the verge of 8's. Heck we have some high HP cars we built that havent ever been to the track.

So think what you want of why we released the BFIC. You can keep that extra 1/2". Our Race FMIC speaks for itself.

No one said the Garrett core was bad? We offer the Garrett core for the same price as the ETS core. We tested both the ETS core and the Garrett core and they both had the same AIT. The ETS core allowed more air to flow to the radiator, since it doesn't use the turbulence technology to dissipate heat like the Garrett core.

I agree the Garrett core is a great core for the drag racer, hint your list... but for the daily driven street car the ETS is a better core, since it allows optimal air flow the radiator without sacrificing heat dissipation.

I'm sure you will recall the problem with the Garrett cores on the 1G and 2G where air flow could not make it to the radiator the cars would over heat... On the track this may not be a problem due to the short passes, but on the street this is a problem.

We don't only build Evo products, we build products for the Surpa, RX-7, BMW, 300zx, 1G, 2G, GVR4, 3000GT, SC300, Mustangs, Corvette, Saab, etc. We have tested our core on several vehicles and found out what works and what doesn't.

End result.. Garrett core is great on the track, but not on the street for the majority of cars due to the blockage of air flow. This is where our core comes into play.

Thanks,

Michael

Why does every thread on here has to have someone from Buscher pushing a product on someone or bashing someone elses.

I finally picked up a Daily Driver a couple of days ago so I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and a free weekend to start pulling apart the Evo for some much needed TLC. I'm replacing all of the couplers and clamps on the intake system from Turbo to Throttle Body. I also removed the TB to replace the shaft seals for some Mil.Spec's. Ok, I'll hop off my soap box and show you the pics.

Just in case you guys haven't noticed I do have two 1mm jets inserted into the UICP for my HFS-5 meth kit. I've never run the meth kit but I've tested it with distilled water 3-4 times to ensure that everything worked correctly. So what do you guys think of this?

Lets get back to the topic....

There is no one bashing and there is no one pushing products. Sorry for explaining myself and our product that was questioned first.

I helped a customer, made a comment about Garrett and Michael then felt it his place to bring up "why we offer a product" (which was not correct) because I do not agree with how his product "performs". The forum is for discussion. That is whats going on. We're discussing.

i dont think buschur was bashing really to begin with. it turned into a pi$$ing contest when buschur offered the op a discount rate for new piping.

as i stated before when i purchased your i/c kit with piping about a year ago, i spoke with you via pm, on the phone, and used your web page. threw those three lines of communication i was never told, offered or made aware of stainless piping or your garret cores. key word being offered, i was never aware that i even had the option, because if i did i would have bought a garret core the first time and stainless pipping, instead i now have allready repurchased a garret core cooler and now will be buying new pipping.

on to the garret core vs the ets core. my personal car gained 27whp/19wtq by switching from a 3.5 inch ets core to a 3.75 inch garret one, no it wasnt a buschur race. just bolting the garret i/c on i was making the same power at less boost and a/f had gotten richer. after setting the tune back i made the extra power and was also able to run more boost because of the more efficient garret core. so the graph will speak for itself the only change was putting the garret core on.

Back open. Please keep on topic. If vendors would like to discuss relative pricing or anything of the sort, please use our wonderful PM system.
