Question ACD removal

Evo's comes with a factory acd system, is there any way to remove that system? is it save to do so?
my situation is that when I purchase my car the owner before me remove and cut some lines that go into the transfer case to include taking the pump out. Now I lost my transfer case and Im going to get an upgraded new one. what should i do? get new lines, pump and reconect everything factory or just install a new one and leave the acd system as it is now?

please advice. thx

ACD is awesome. But it all come down to what needs to be replace and how badly you want it in your car. It will not be cheap.. It will not hurt anything if you don't have ACD connected. But I would recommend replace the T-case with a non ACD if you choose not to connect it.

if you want to remove the acd you must replace the transfer case with an 03-05 and take out the acd lines etc. I dunno about an engine code being thrown because im sure it has a harness to the ecu that would require more research. there are threads on here somewhere about someone doing this.

Use an 03-04 Tcase if you don't want ACD... if you want ACD 05-07 T-cases are ACD...

I'm pretty sure you can't just drive around an ACD case without the pump or lines. You will need to use a non acd tcase (from the 03-04).
