I have an 06 Evo RS that just recently got a new clutch and flywheel in it in it about 6k miles ago or so. Just as of recent i have noticed that when i accelerate to 60 and then get out of the gas in 5th gear, there is a rattling noise coming from under the car until about 45 mph. Now i have heard this could be possibly the transfer case, but i am not experiencing the "death whine" in any situation. oh yeah, the rattle goes away when you put it in neutral. Also the rattle only seems to happen in 5th gear. Could maybe be exhaust? u-joint? transfer case?.. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Aftermarket clutch/flywheel noises, nothing to worry about.

 

100% normal. Decel noise is cool

 

The noise comes with the clutch. It's just a little "chatter".
