K&N intake w/ HKS Kansai Box set-up

Hey everyone,
Just got my K&N filter and HKS box set up complete. I'll let you know what the dyno results are. Here are some pictures.

Very nice looking setup. I'd be interested to see the dyno gains. It may be a nice workaround for those looking to upgrade their IC piping without running an open element filter.

Small correction in the title. I have a Ralliart intake pipe, 2G K&N FIPK kit. There is no K&N kit similar to the 2 G kit available yet for the EVO. The 2G filter is so large that it requires removing the intercooler sprayer water bottle. Small modification of the HKS box is necessary. You could use a different filter like the LS one and not remove the water bottle, though I don't really like the way it attaches to the MAF.

Nice!! How much and where did you source it from? Also what happens to the IC reservoir? Mini battery required?

Overall looks great! Between this and the ARC box it looks like things are looking-up for Evo owners in the intake/air cleaner dept!! Nice to own a car that all the tuners pay attention to!

Edit : saw your posted comments regarding the I/C res.!

Thanks!

N10S see the above post. The mini battery is required for the intercooler piping. It is the same piping set-up as Vivid though I didn't shorten the pipe at the throttle body. The HKS box is from Japan, the K&N filter is for a 2G.

Do you happen to know if the HKS RS kit will fit with that Kansai airbox? Looks sweet!

I don't know for certain, but I am sure you could make it fit. Thanks
