pulling engine

Im rebuilding my car finally After a year of having a blown engine. Anyway, yesterday I pulled the entire engine out. We unbolted the trans and T-case from the block as well as apart from each other. there appears to be no more bolts to remove. But we cant seperate them. They are loose with a gap of about an inch, but they wont come apart. Am I missing a vital step? Thanks

yes... you need to pull the output shafts out. youll need to get a slaphammer from your local autoparts store.

both of the above guys are correct. you need to take the shafts out of the tcase to get that off the trans and you need to pop apart the throughout bearing from the pressure plate to get the trans off the engine.
