2.3 stroker vs 2.0 long rod, opinions pls
I would think using the advantage of the long five speed gearing and a very high rev limit would only leave the 2.3 for guys who hate lag or people who love auto x or short track.
The 2.3 doesn't really interest me at all, again this is all on "paper" like the guy's buddy above, there are guys spinning their 2.3's to ridculous rpm's and STi guys running to 8000 rpm

No, I got into a long argument with him about the 2.4 vs 2.3 he said that he liked the Kevlar timing belt and off the shelf availability of parts. It was a 2.3 (2.0 block with aluminum rod and 2.4 crank set up.) He is no longer running the car (building a reardrive dsm now.) That is way I asked. I know that the rod to stroke doesn't change but the aluminum rods are lighter (less stress) and seem to be much easier on bearings. Aparently that was his thought and why he did it, just wanted other opinions, ideas, thoughts.
