help me release this stupid TOB UGH!!
i took the transmission out with the pressure plate attatched to the TOB because people said i could get the TOB and plate seperated alot easier that way since i was having issues through the inspection holes.
I been messing with this thing for 3 days and zero luck on getting them seperated.. what am I missing here??
i understand the concept of seperating them and how, i read the HOW to.. but it just wont come apart..
What am i missing?

people on here told me it was easier to release it from the pressure plate with it out of the car like this..
I still cannot get it to release and the stupid clip is starting to bend and get messed up
That how-to spells it out perfectly. Push collar in, pull TOB away from collar. It's really just that simple. Of course the reality of doing this through a 1" hole while trying to hold a light and position the screwdriver is what makes it nearly impossible if you've never done it before.
The trick I came up with that made it easier for me was to use a 2nd tool and go in from the front access hole where the fork comes out. To do this, you'll need something with a slight curve to it, a flat blade screwdriver probably won't work, I use a long panel popping tool. What this will do is keep the collar compressed evenly as you pop the TOB out. If you don't have he right tool or can't see in there to position both tools correctly, don't bother, just keep trying with one tool. Again, the real trick is to keep the collar evenly compressed so that the TOB doesn't hang up while coming out.

I did read your post wasnt sure if you saw that How to. I saw tat someone took an adjustable wrench and attached ti to the fork to hold it all the way over to compress the collar then wedge the screw driver in and twist..
I am no expert I could not get mine to pop. Thanks god for Steve93talon

I might be **** out of luck as far as compressing it evenly against the clutch then. my ring is pretty torn up.. I AM NOT wrecking this pressure plate.. i dont feel like having to spend the money for a new twin disk setup lol, buying just the plates or this one is expensive enough!!
