Recirc BOV's above 28PSI, info request
The synapse is great, but if you live in a emission **** state like california seeing the synapse is a trip to the smog ref and heavy fee's the samco bov in black or forge in black. Are good if your going for stealth since the synapse is somewhat chunky.
Depends on what application you use it in. Are you basically a stock setup or do you have a hardpipe for a UICP? For basically stock set ups you will require a recirc 1.25 inch adaptor piece to plumb it into your UICP hose. I tye wrap all the hoses and a "T" fitting is required to plumb into the boost signal line from your turbo outlet pipe. This is the one that goes to my boost control solenoid.
i will look into the synapse when i switch to e85 and start running more boost
I am thinking of going with Forge simply cause it is black and stealth, but all these "Gurus" talking about the Synapse is making me wonder. Although my engine bay is pretty stock looking.

I did some more research on it, seems like it has flutter/jumpy issues just like any of the BOVs. half of the people responded with 100% no problems, and the other half said they get some surge, a lot of flutter on the highway, and a lot of bucking in part-throttle situations.
So what makes the Synapse better?

As far as thje Forge, I suspect that it only gets terrible reviews because the normal owner is too lazy to scroll through the million possible settings to get it tuned properly. It would only flutter a tad during cruise on the girlfriends car.

In the two major Synapse threads I found, there were quite a few people experiencing both flutter and bucking.
Sort of hard to search for, but I am trying to find info on people running recirc BOVs with 28PSI or higher. How its holding the boost, if any sort of leak-stop/etc was needed. And how their driveability is.
I don't wanna go VTA cause the sound is just too much for me, and generally has worse driveability then Recirc.
Can users with a Recirc running 28+ give me some feedback on the sound/driveability/boost-holding of thier BOV and what type it is. Thanks

Please read, I created this topic a few years ago specifically with the info you are looking for:

FWIW, I realized two issues with the Forge design. The first that the tightest setting is required for over 30psi boost, and Forge states that ~34psi is the maximum it can hold regardless. The second is I found that setting gave the poorest overall drivability. The Synapse won't leak at 40+ psi and gives absolutely transparent drivability.

I'm recirculating the Synapse BOV with 39 psi on the Red.
Rock solid!
C port to the turbo outlet pipe + A port to the intake mani + B port blocked.
