Im having a problem when going into first gear......theres a very loud clunk sound coming from under the car when i get into first or i release or mash on the gas quickly......it feels like my tranny is going to fall out of my car..........it especally does it when i get on the gas hard from cruising at a very low speed or hitting the clutch quickly......also now when i let the car decelerate on gear im having a very bad vibration through the whole car.....it seems like im going over gravel on a highway....weird ......it seems like something is wrong in my drivetrain....and can also be the reason for the loud whining.....i already had a transfercase swapped and a tranny and its still the same problem .....any other ideas.....can it be the drive shaft or a axel???or a joint......any ideas...?>??? or possibly a wheel bearing took a ****....

where the experts at.???

 

Mounts? Maybe tranny/engine mounts?

I have the same problem sometimes when I go to put it in first I get a light sounding clunck. At this point I don't even give a **** anymore because there seems to be so many damn issues that until the car actually stops running for me I don't even car anymore.

It happens to me in first every once and a while and all the time in reverse.

 

i dont care anymore. I think it's the AWD thing. It happens to my SUV as well.

 

i got the same noise too..it is annoying sometimes..it seems like u need to apply a little more force to get it in first..i throught we have like double or triple synchros? shouldnt it be no problems getting into first gear? and also..second gear is harder to get into too.. damn this tranny..
i really like this car alot..except the tranny is giving me a headache
