if you dont have a catch can, possibly some of the oil buildup in your intake piping has entered into the turbo and gone through the engine?

blue smoke is usually an indicator for burning oil. like ^^ said, possibly blow by into the intake, which a catch can would help eliminate.

Mine did the same, then it stopped.
Check my mod list top end parts so not worried.

In my case, im pretty sure its the seal fromt the oil cooled part of the turbo, schrader valve kind of deal going on there, when there's no oil pressure (lack of 7 bar) to create a good seal some of the pressure from the boost leak test allows the oil to seep into the turbo.
check out this long and frustrating boost leak test symptoms i was having and found the leak to be comming from this on the GT series twin cooled turbo.

fast freddie mentioned the schrader valve and it clicked. Someone else had the same exact issue and his car runs hard no burning oil nothing.

ive never thrown blue smoke after a boost leak test? and ive done 10-15 of them on various evos, that and the fact that you dont really want too high of a psi when you do the test.

I test with the tb open and closed at around 5-6 psi, if you test with the tb closed and say are pushing 12 psi into the pipes, you will cause your tb to leak, reason being is that your tb should never really see 12 psi closed because the bov should be open venting.

This is a very common mistake that i myself made the first time i did one.
