Quick intake install question

I am currently installing a buschur intake on my IX. The stock airbox, MAF, and bov hose are off.

I noticed there is at least one additional (I think there are a total of two based on another thread.) clip/hose attached to the stock intake pipe. There is not a place to re-attach these to the buschur intake pipe.

What do I do with the additional clips/hoses/sensors?

Thanks

I think thats the return line for the electronic boost control. Are you still using it? If not you can just disconnect it to my knowledge

I am still using it for now since I haven't hooked up my MBC. Should I just leave the stock intake pipe hooked up until I install the MBC? I assume once you disconnect the ebc lines the ebc won't work, so if you don't have an MBC installed to control boost then the car will run like crap.

I was planning on waiting until I get tuned to put the mbc in.

Are you sure it's not the hose from the valve cover?? If so you're going to need to tap your intake.

I haven't seen any mention about tapping the intake tube on any intake install thread. I don't see why any intake would be made without all of the necessary "taps" if they are truly always necessary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I looked through every intake install thread I could find but there was never a single mention about the additional plugs. It seems like this is something that would be mentioned somewhere as most people have aftermarket intakes.

You are right. It looks like there are two lines from the boost control solenoid and one that goes to the valve cover. It seems weird that there I haven't seen any mention of tapping the intake tube if this is in fact what needs to be done.

I attached the bushur filter to the stock MAF until I get some feedback/direction on what to do with the three lines.

The pipe here (http://www.maperformance.com/jm-fab-...-pipe-evo.html) looks like it has the pipe already tapped, which seems like the way the buschur unit should be made. Should I get some taps and put them into the Buschur pipe.

if you are using a mbc or ebc the bottom hose is unneeded as you can loop the hose on the boost control solenoid

if you are still using the oem boost control solenoid you'll need that port

Ok what about the line from the valve cover to the intake pipe?

After reading through several threads it seems like running a catch can is the best thing to do. In this case I still need to tap the intake pipe. I really don't understand why the aftermarket intake pipes are most often not tapped for the valve cover or ebcs lines.

Just run a little breather filter on the valve cover.
