First drag meeting since the car has been back together last night.

Best run was 11.47 @ 192.8kph (120mph) with a 1.72 60ft. Not bad for full street tyres @ 34psi pressure. (bridgestone S02's, 205/55/15).

Car is running the 280kwatw (375whp) @ 22/23psi trim at the mo, but i really need to replace the intercooler.
initial IAT was 45deg C with IAT reaching 60deg C by the traps... that will be removing 1.5deg timing so more power lost!

The clutch is amazing! as fast as i can shift, it goes in.
Although in saying that, there is blue gearbox oil on my driveway at the moment lol

Oh and those runs were done with the dash lights blown (no rear parking lights on), i need to find that electrical gremlin and fix it
So a lot of runs i was short shifting!

Cheers, Mike

GoPro in cabin footage of an 11.5 sec run.
ended up losing that race, but still placed 2nd overall for the season.
Only made 2 out of the 3 meets, so not too bad

More power, better intercooler and exhaust for the summer season (3 rounds), hopefully 11 flats

Enjoy

New PB for me this weekend.

Semi slick tyres on a prepped track, i managed a 11.39 @ 190kph (118mph) with 1.60 60ft time.

Here's the video

FIC1100cc injectors are on the way (thanks Jens from FIC and Potter from MAPerformance), along with my Magnaflow mufflers.

enjoy

Thanks sparky!
yeah some 225 or 235's would work a treat, they would be a be a little hard to squeeze under my guards though!
20-30 more kilowatt will see 11 flats me thinks

What do 400whp evo's normally run on the quarter?
(mine is ~2800lbs with me in it)

Ohh i thought it was still FWD. That makes more sense haha.

Yeah I'm trying to get my project rolling. The 2.3 is almost done and then I just have to wait for lots of parts lol

Dayne's Evo2. He's running about 320kw so it's about right. He ran an 11.3 on that run. He was using semi slicks too.

I'm just going to run a generic 100mm bar and plate for now, it will do.

Retune hopefully 2nd or 3rd week of january. Will be ready to carve up straight 11.0's for nationals

Update,

I have installed a large magnaflow muffler in the rear. It is now sooo quiet, i can't even hear the exhaust when i'm cruising over all the rattles and rumbles

I also installed a 100mm (4") intercooler. FIC1100cc injectors have been installed also.

I didn't get a copy of the dyno sheets, but the car made the same power with 3psi less boost.
It's currently about 300kw on 21psi, and 315kw on 23psi.
We added about 5deg of timing across the whole map.

I've changed to LS2 ignition coils, and i need to make a new set of ignition spark plug leads up as it's missing a bit. This is the reason why we stopped at 315kw.

Also we did a test with covering the intercooler to check timing/detonation at high IAT readings. With the IAT at 60deg C (140 F) the car lost 40kw! (50whp). But the pull was clean and with no detonation.
I requested this because on my last intercooler i was seeing temps at the end of the strip at 63degC.

I'm competing in a National drag racing event at the end of the month, then i want to install my Bosch 044 and crank the base pressure up to ~70psi. We will then tune to 29psi or so and see how much power we make.
The car is now very responsive to boost increases, with the freer exhaust and intercooler.
I'm hoping 350kwatw (470whp) shouldn't be a problem

The car is now a maniac 2nd and 3rd gear in the wet get really interesting, especially with the plate type LSD in the rear! I can't wait to get the ignition miss cleared up and get some clean runs and logs of the new setup.

Cheers, Mike

missfire fixed!
custom made 9mm ignition leads fixed my problem.
550-550ohms per lead.

The mirage pulls hard all the way through to redline, and thats with only 3ms dwell time! these coils are highest output at 5ms.

I can't wait for the retune!
