It works but from What I have seen it doesnt stay on. combustion chamber is too violent. okay for drag car but on a streett car it will burn off after a few thousand miles.
Are there different grades of Ceramic coatings though? i was planning on doing my piston crowns, CC's and exhaust and intake ports with Ceramic heat barrier coatings for my everyday street car.
The guy at HPC (high performance coatings) said it would only flake off it there was very heavy detonation and there was pitting on the head or piston...

Did Aaron pull down his 2.2LR that he built? didn't have have the ceramic coatings on the pistons? (the light brown stuff).
