The engine/option is ready now.

This first 2.4 is done and built. The head from Rogue's car is being checked/cleaned now. I am expecting the car to be running and finished next week. We just pulled it in the shop yesterday.

I'm expecting some BIG torque numbers out of this car. We will see.

I'm very interested in your results David as I have a 2.3/6262 build at Mike's waiting to be tuned right now. Good luck.

Did I miss cost of this option somewhere? Is a core required?

No core required. The complete 2.4 with the billet crank, water pump and head gasket is $5650.

David,

Sorry to sound like an idiot, but does the price for the 2.4L include the head? Or does it reuse the stock head?

Thanks

No it does not. You use your evo head though.

The price doesn't include the head. The stock EVO head needs some work done to it to use with the 2.1 or 2.4. You can send it in to us and if NOTHING else is wrong with the head we can do the work for about $100.

Also, update. The long block/engine is back together for Rogue's car and I'm guessing will be running in the next day or two.

just a question, what kind of failures do people see from reving a 2.4 or is it just not a good idea on paper?just curious to know because we rev 2.4 k series motor with 99mm cranks to
10k without a problem making about a 1000hp.motor was taking apart and everything looked excellent.i know this is not an evo motor but i think they are similar in concept.this is on a stock honda crank also.thanks ahead

It's funny that someone finally mentions a K-series Honda. You're right, there are many people turning 9K plus in these engines with long strokes. I really comes down to how long you want the engine to live. For street cars, this is rarely an issue since you can't drive at WOT or 9000RPM very long or often.

I'm eager to see the results of this build!
