Cam gears or Cooler piping?

Hi guys, just wanted to get peoples thoughts as to bang for buck on going for either cam gears or cooler piping. At this point I am just able to do one.

Some background on the car, currently running a 20G turbo with GSC S1 cams on an untouched head. I have a replacement FMIC and have already done the turbo to cooler pipe so given my current setup what will give me the best gain (mainly looking for mid range power), installing cam gears or doing the rest of my piping with a short route kit.

Thanks.

Cam gears dont really add power. They adjust it moving it forward or backwards in the rpm range. I would go with the ETS UICP and relocate battery to trunk. Or even better get it 2.5" all around. would save you from doing it later like i am

I realize cam gears only shift power not add to it, my point is how much realistically is it going to shift on a stock head? Moving the power down the rev range to enhance my mid range may be just as possible by upgrading the piping and spooling the turbo in better and not losing any of my top end in the process.

Total engine mods are: Gruppe M intake, Samco turbo to AFM, Injectors, GSC S1 cams, 3" TBE, ported exhaust mani, Tomei ARMS, AGP LICP and intercooler on stock upper piping, HKS DLI II ignition with NGK racing plugs.

Do intercooler Pipes... Buschur makes a nice upper pipe required to use with mini battery or relocated to trunk the stock. Cams gears wont do anything for your setup... Their really only used in higher hp cars

yup intercooler piping. Will help get your turbo spooled quicker. After you get a big turbo then i would get the gears.
