Torn between 4g63 2.3l or 4g64 2.4l
i'm looking into a 2.3 stroker for my car also.
Good luck with the choice!
Are there 2.3 litre long rod kits available for higher than standard rpm?
That would allow you to rev to 8500 wouldn't it?
standard rod length is 150mm right?
So run a 156mm rod?

Got the block apart tonight at school. Everything inside looked like new. Still can see the cross hatch in all the journals and rod ends. Couldnt ask for better.
Would anyone know of a good machine shop in RI, MA, CT that I can take this to ? Im looking to get it hot tanked, honed, line honed and bored (depending), decked. You know all that good stuff. Any suggestions let me know.
Thanks
Jeremy

No I go to MTTI Motoring Tech. Training Inst..
Now as for the car I have the new block and crank at a local machine shop here in RI called R Johnson and Sons Machining. I have a friend who had him do all the work and build his all motor honda along with a few other people recommending him. I was pleased when I got there that he wanted to walk me through all the steps he goes through on all his motors. He's done his fair share of 4G's and was on top of everything I asked him.
The block is getting cleaned, inspected, decked, bore checked and only honed, line bored, and oil squirters added. The crank is getting inspected, balanced, and polished.
If there's anything I forgot I should do let me know. I told him to take care of what ever he needed to pretty much. I want the car to see 40+ psi I told him so...
