still don't quite get it. The turbine wheel is same size, like you said, on the black it will spin slower, spinning slower will evacuate less exhaust gas through the turbine, thereby creating more back pressure. The only way the black would have less backpressure is because the wastegate can open more due to less air having to flow through the turbine to flow same lb/min.
So you're probably right, the black will have less backpressure, but thats because it can afford to let more air out the wastegate I'd theorize less air is getting through the turbine though. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

 

You are thinking it bit backwards dude. The turbine wheel spins at the exact speed the exhaust gasses push it. So the gas flow needs to be less to get a bigger airflow from the comp size. Needless to say this is not a linear equation and a small housing will become the bottleneck eventually.

Whats the turbine dimensions on the black/red ?

Unfortunately it will not.

The exhaust manifold is getting ceramic coated. I currently have 3 possible o2 housing options that I'm currently considering. One of those options is a dump. I'm just not too keen on the idea of making my dd that loud at WOT on the street.....

I feel the same way. The biggest hurdle will be when the tune is completed and the motor is still holding strong. Once the power is there it should only be a matter of a clean pass down the track.

i know that the fp black should be quicker than your old red, maybe 3,4 th tens of a second or like 50-100whp more than the red. But if i were u, i would get the hta 3586 kit. That's just my opinion

 

We were going to take a couple of evos out there and have some fun hoping you were there now ist going to be nothing but a v8 fest and 10 evos oh well next time

 

I never planned on going larger then the hta3582 w/.63 hotside. My ultimate goal for this car has always been to make a 9sec capable powerband while maintaining good power down low along with excellent midrange. The broadest possible powerband for a street car to compete in all forms of racing from drag to autox.

Possibly. I just don't agree with the $4xx price tag....
