Ryu's hunting for 9's on the Stock Block
Strangely enough, it seems to me like it's going to be easy for you. You're getting way more top end with the black and driving is not a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if you trapped 140MPH after a bit of tinkering with the new setup.
Good luck!

Well, my FP Black arrived today right on time. It was also packaged quite well. Thanks FP!
As you see the compressor wheel is quite a bit larger then the Red. This should definitely carry power well over the Red in the upper rpm range.

The turbo is now going to be shipped to my good friend Anthony at Judge Racing for him to perform his percision port work to the exhaust housing.
Once I receive it back with the Judge Racing port work I will give a side by side comparison.
Here's a picture of the unported hotside.

Once the turbo is back in my hands then it will be time to put together my custom o2 housing solution.

The turbine side yes, but the compressor is much larger.
If only their were more time.
Based on a local Red car's exhaust housing that was ported by Judge Racing if I had to approximate I would say the port work is worth in the neighborhood of 25-30whp along with 200-300rpm of spool.

The quicker and faster the exhaust gases that have already done their job spinning those turbine blades exit the turbo housing the better. Removing restriction by porting and possibly divorcing the internal WG and turbine exhaust gases, so as to not interfere with one another, coupled with that port work.... worth it IMO.
Interested in your O2 housing solution.

It would increase exhaust volume flow...but I refuse to go that route with a street car. My custom solution I have planned should flow as good as any o2 dump, if not better, without the obnoxious noise under WOT.
Re-route the dump tube back into the exhaust stream later on down the exhaust would reduce the noise considerably, yet net the benefits of divorcing both exhaust streams.
Any suspension changes to stiffen up the chassis from rocking at launch and in between shifts?
The idea of a stock block street trim Evo in 9's is freaking amazing lol!

No changes to suspension as of yet. The stock suspension so far has yielded a best 60ft of a 1.45 along with consistent high 1.4x 60ft's. I do have a set of D2's but they were purchased used and need to be refilled and resealed as the front struts are blown. The only real benefits of the D2's to me at this point would be the reduction in weight. I can't hope for too much of a better 60ft with them as it's already very good with the stock suspension.
