Supertech Single springs - When do they float?

I have a set of supertech single springs with their TI retainers, and a set of kelford 272's.

What I am curious about is has any one floated valves on the singles.. and if so when and with what?

I am fairly certain that the singles should hold the kelfords just fine to 8500. But I havent been able to find any solid data on the springs being pushed to their limit. Every time I search for supertech springs - get stupid vendor bumped ads.

I want data or real life experiences.

You have nothing to worry about taking those springs to 8,500.

I have just had quite a few major shops tell me that I have wasted my money. And I was curious who has actually pushed them. Even with other cams.

Don't quote me on this, but i've heard Supertech Singles are good till 8500, there duels are good for around 10,000rpm.

I had Supertech duals float at 8500.

So far no problem with the Kiggly's. Best spring out there.

You really have to factor in boost with this question... 8500rpm at 25psi is different than 8500rpm at 35psi to a valve spring... what are you going to be running?

Would it be wise to just invest in a set of dual springs for safety's sake?

Would you explain why the actuation of a cam operated valve has any relationship to what the boost is?

Because the inlet valve has to close against boost pressure trying to push it open, and the exhaust valve has to close against exhaust manifold pressure, and the higher the boost, the higher these pressures, and the more load on the valve spring trying to close the valve.
