Cam timing or have you changed something in the setup?
We swapped boost controllers and played with Wastegate Actuator.. Along with tuning..

I was logging the wastegate and figured out what the problem was. Too bad we did not discover this earlier because it would have helped with the earlier results.
When we get stumped you always have the answer.. I HATE YOU.. JK

No. I am on a factory 2.0L. A red at 40psi peak boost on a 2.0L will have a slower shaft speed then a red at 40psi peak on a 2.4L. There is a larger displacement to pressurize so it will take a greater demand from the turbo to push the extra air needed to pressurize the extra room. Based on 9sec9's testing on the Red with shaft speed vs psi I was probably just at the maximum limit, if not slightly over.

The fact of the matter is neither of those turbos at 40 psi are going to last long.

Thats why we were chosen by FP to do Testing.. Robert knows we will do testing with the product at it limits and give them valuable feedback..

I just don't get why you are worried about shaft speed and longevity @42psi on the Black? You didn't seem worried when you ran 43.5psi on the RED and i'm almost certain whether it be a 2.0 or 2.4l it isn't healthy for that turbo anyway.
Wouldn't someone at FP be able to answer this question your interested in? Since when is the word of 9sec9 scripture anyway? AWD didn't seem to be testing shaft speed on the BBK also as most performance shops are going for maximum performance most of the time. I'm sure if you bought this turbo on a 2.0 or 2.4l you wouldn't be worried about shaft speed @42psi by lookin at the accomplishments in your sig or how long it lasts at that amount of boost.

There you go

When shops try new things we all benefit as consumers because they push products beyond their intended boundaries of use, so that we don't bolt on a turbo, run 2 psi over the recommended limit and blow it up!!!

Hes just trying to point out anything to drag the thread down.. He has been the only person in 70 posts on this thread and 128 posts on our BBK record thread stirring the pot.. Ryu was never so interested when we were breaking records on Haltech and AEM.. maybe the stock ECU stuff is hitting home now.. IDK

I can tell you, i will take a stock motor and push it next if thats what it takes to put icing on the cake..

Its cool Man.. I appreciate outsiders looking in commenting on my threads.. I know i am not the only person who sees the same things..

I hate to speculate what the Black will run but i can tell you our Goal is 9.4.. Its not often we fall short of our Goals.. It may not be on 1st time out but i am going to get this FP black to run 9.4's on Stock Ecu..

The Stock Ecu ET record is 9.9 & MPH 143.. Those are the 2 immediate Goals with this car.. Then we go for overall FP Black Record on Stock Ecu..
