Do you have a link??? Also, I would like to see the Magnus parts before you build your engine.

Your question more or less lies between whether anyone thinks a 4G63 or 4G64 is better...

Things to consider:

Oil squirters 4G63 > 4G64
Not having to Degree Cams 4G63 > 4G64
"Custom" Water Pump/Timing Belt 4G63 > 4G64
Cost 4G64 > 4G63
Better R/S 4G64 > 4G63

I'm a noob but ths is what i've gathered, take it for what it's worth.

Stahl's headers web page had a nice summary of this topic, last time I was researching it. Stahlheaders.com

Update! 10.0:1 compression, steel rods, still can't make up my mind on the 4g63 85.5mm bore OR 4g64 87.0mm bore??? For 20k miles a year, which one is better? Oh ya, I need to be in the low 10's in the 1/4 mi too!

The 63 is less hassle to build for sure, plus by carefully selecting rods and pistons you can keep the weight down. I was going to build a spare 2L block but now I'm thinking of doing the 2.2. in the 63 block instead.

Can I beat this dead horse?

Whatever happened with this build?

Did you end up going with the 4g63?

Hopefully this will /thread.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/pr...4-efr7670.html

If he was smart, he did a 4G64 with the 94mm crank, 159mm rods and drilled the block for squirters. The thread I've posted has me rethinking my build, except that I already have everything but pistons for my 2.0..
